Every Prisplatting gift box originates in a small workshop in the Swiss plateau, where materials are selected by hand and cut to tolerances measured in fractions of a millimetre. The artisans here have spent decades learning the behaviour of different papers, boards, and ribbons — how they hold colour, how they respond to humidity, how they age. That knowledge is not written down anywhere. It lives in their hands.

We chose Switzerland deliberately. The country has a long tradition of precision manufacturing — watches, instruments, optical glass — and that same discipline carries into fine packaging. When a Prisplatting box arrives at your door, it has already passed through multiple pairs of experienced hands. Each fold is pressed. Each seam is checked. Anything that does not meet our standard is set aside, never shipped.

The materials themselves are sourced with similar care. The outer boards come from certified sustainable forests in central Europe. The interior lining — the soft, tactile surface your fingers brush when you open the lid — is chosen for its silence as much as its feel. A good box opens quietly. The moment belongs to the gift, not the packaging.

We are aware that most packaging ends up discarded. That is why ours is designed to be kept. The structural integrity of each Prisplatting box means it can be repurposed — for letters, for jewellery, for small keepsakes.
